Tolcarne, Great Western, Harbour and Towan Beach...

Fistral Beach...

Quite possibly one of the best surfing beaches in the UK and Europe. Home to the Ripcurl Boardmasters, which is Europe's largest surf, skate and music festival, its fierce waters perfect for a variety of water based sports.

Drive from Newquay Town Centre: 5 mins

Parking: immediately behind the beach, space for approx 300 cars

Walking from Newquay Town Centre: 20 mins

Food and drink: a bistro, cafe and toilets on site. Surf and clothing store as well as surf equipment hire and surfing school

Lifeguard: 10am-6pm mid May-end Sept

Tolcarne Beach is at the Northern end of the bay and lined by high cliffs, it is regarded as another ideal family beach. It is one of four other beaches that edge the spectacular town of Newquay, it's sisters are Great Western, Harbour and Towan.

Parking: no parking facilities

Walking from Newquay Town Centre: 5-10 mins

Food and drink: cafe and public toilets available in addition to beach hut hire.

Lifeguard: 10am-6pm mid May-end Sept
